Sura 53 An-Najm (The Star), ayat 5 – 14

1. عَلَّمَهُ شَدِيدُ الْقُوَىٰ

   Taught to him by one intense in strength -

   53:5

2. ذُو مِرَّةٍ فَاسْتَوَىٰ

   One of soundness. And he rose to (his) true form

   53:6

3. وَهُوَ بِالْأُفُقِ الْأَعْلَىٰ

   While he was in the higher (part of the) horizon.

   53:7

4. ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ

   Then he approached and descended

   53:8

5. فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَىٰ

   And was at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer.

   53:9

6. فَأَوْحَىٰ إِلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَىٰ

   And he revealed to His Servant what he revealed.

   53:10

7. مَا كَذَبَ الْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَىٰ

   The heart did not lie (about) what it saw.

   53:11

8. أَفَتُمَارُونَهُ عَلَىٰ مَا يَرَىٰ

   So will you dispute with him over what he saw?

   53:12

9. وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَىٰ

   And he certainly saw him in another descent

   53:13

10. عِنْدَ سِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَىٰ

    At the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary -

    53:14
